Dadri’s ₹5,881 Crore Logistics Hub Tender Signals New Push for India’s Supply Chain Network

India’s logistics sector is set for another major infrastructure boost after DMIC Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Ltd invited fresh bids for the development of a ₹5,881 crore Multi Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh. The project is expected to strengthen freight movement, improve supply chain efficiency and reinforce the National Capital Region’s position as one of India’s largest logistics gateways.

The latest tender comes after an earlier bidding process, launched in November 2025, failed to attract enough competition and was cancelled. Officials have now reissued the tender with largely unchanged project specifications, hoping that improved market sentiment and growing demand for logistics infrastructure will encourage greater participation from developers.

Located in Gautam Buddh Nagar, the proposed logistics hub will be developed as a greenfield project under the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). The facility has been designed to integrate road, rail and freight services into a single logistics ecosystem, reducing cargo handling time and lowering transportation costs for businesses.

Once operational, the logistics hub is expected to provide services including container handling, warehousing, cross-docking, customs support, stacking, labelling and value-added distribution facilities. Such integrated infrastructure is becoming increasingly important as manufacturers, retailers and e-commerce companies seek faster and more efficient supply chains.

Dadri has emerged as one of India’s most strategically located freight centres due to its connectivity with the Dedicated Freight Corridor, major highways and the wider Delhi-NCR region. The location also benefits from its proximity to Noida International Airport at Jewar, which is expected to create additional demand for multimodal logistics facilities in the coming years.

The renewed tender also reflects the broader expansion taking place across India’s industrial and warehousing sector. According to recent market data, industrial and warehousing leasing reached 34.8 million sq ft during the first half of 2026, with Delhi-NCR recording the highest absorption among major cities. Manufacturing and third-party logistics companies remain the biggest occupiers of Grade A warehouse space.

Industry experts believe projects such as the Dadri logistics hub will help improve cargo movement, reduce logistics costs and support India’s ambition of becoming a global manufacturing and export destination. Integrated logistics parks also encourage private investment by offering modern infrastructure capable of handling larger freight volumes while improving operational efficiency.

The project forms part of the government’s wider infrastructure strategy to modernise freight transportation and strengthen industrial corridors across the country. With large investments flowing into warehousing, rail freight and multimodal logistics, developers are increasingly focusing on assets that can serve manufacturing clusters, exporters and e-commerce businesses from a single location.

If the fresh bidding process attracts sufficient interest, the Dadri Multi Modal Logistics Hub could become one of northern India’s most significant logistics developments, improving freight connectivity while supporting economic growth across Uttar Pradesh and the wider NCR region.
