Global industrial real estate developer Panattoni has appointed Sharad Gohil as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Panattoni India, marking a significant step in the company’s long term growth strategy for one of the world’s fastest growing infrastructure markets. The appointment comes as Panattoni strengthens its presence across India’s industrial, logistics and digital infrastructure sectors, including data centres.
Sharad Gohil brings more than 25 years of international experience in real estate investment, asset management, capital raising and fund management across Europe and the Asia Pacific region. During his career, he has completed transactions worth more than US$4 billion across industrial, logistics, office, residential, retail and hospitality assets, making him one of the most experienced leaders in the sector.
Before joining Panattoni, Gohil served as Chief Executive Officer of IndoSpace Capital Asia, India’s largest industrial and logistics platform. He managed assets worth more than US$3.2 billion while leading capital raising initiatives and overseeing investment performance across multiple funds. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles with Apollo Global Management, Citigroup Property Investors and AXA Real Estate Investment Managers.
Panattoni entered the Indian market in 2022 and has steadily expanded its footprint through several large industrial and logistics developments. These include Panattoni Park NH71 in Delhi NCR, a major logistics park in Kochi and a specialised aerospace manufacturing hub in Hyderabad. The company is now looking to accelerate its development pipeline as demand for high quality industrial infrastructure continues to rise.
The leadership appointment reflects the growing opportunities in India’s industrial real estate sector. Demand for modern logistics parks, Grade A warehouses, manufacturing facilities and data centres has increased significantly due to rapid growth in e commerce, manufacturing, third party logistics and Global Capability Centres. Businesses are seeking larger, more sustainable and technology enabled industrial facilities to support expanding supply chains and production networks.
Panattoni believes India will remain one of its most important global markets over the coming years. According to the company, the country offers strong long term growth opportunities driven by industrial expansion, infrastructure investment, urbanisation and government initiatives supporting manufacturing and logistics development.
Commenting on the appointment, Panattoni CEO and Co Owner Robert Dobrzycki said India is a strategic priority for the company and that Gohil’s experience in building investment platforms and delivering growth makes him the ideal leader to drive its expansion plans.
Gohil said the company is well positioned to support India’s rapidly expanding industrial, logistics and digital infrastructure requirements, including the growing demand for world class data centre facilities. He added that Panattoni aims to build a market leading platform by combining global expertise with local market knowledge.
Industry analysts believe international developers are increasingly focusing on India as companies diversify supply chains and manufacturing activities. The country’s expanding expressway network, dedicated freight corridors, industrial parks and logistics infrastructure continue to attract global investors looking for long term opportunities.
With an experienced leadership team now in place, Panattoni is expected to expand across major industrial corridors, logistics hubs and emerging digital infrastructure markets. The move highlights growing international confidence in India’s industrial real estate sector and reinforces the country’s position as a leading destination for logistics, manufacturing and infrastructure investment.
