Chhattisgarh has secured investment commitments worth ₹43,600 crore from Singapore following Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s visit to the country.
The package is led by a proposed ₹41,750 crore AI-ready data centre campus, alongside investments in renewable energy and agro-processing infrastructure.
The developments highlight the growing role of AI and digital infrastructure in attracting large-scale investment beyond India’s traditional technology hubs.
₹41,750 Crore AI Data Centre
The largest commitment comes from Singapore-headquartered Energy Capital Global, which has proposed developing a 100 MW AI-ready data centre campus in Chhattisgarh.
The proposed investment is valued at ₹41,750 crore.
The project could position Chhattisgarh as an emerging location for large-scale digital infrastructure.
AI-ready data centres require substantial computing capacity, reliable electricity, cooling infrastructure and high-quality connectivity.
The proposed campus therefore represents a major physical infrastructure investment rather than simply a technology-sector commitment.
₹1,500 Crore Solar Project
The investment package also includes a proposed ₹1,500 crore solar project by Sunstream Green Energy.
The company has received an Invitation to Invest for a 300 MW solar project with battery storage.
Renewable energy could become increasingly important for large data centres because of their substantial electricity requirements.
The combination of data centre and renewable-energy investment could therefore strengthen Chhattisgarh’s broader digital and energy infrastructure ecosystem.

₹350 Crore Agro and Food Processing Hub
Valency International has also received an Invitation to Invest worth ₹350 crore for an integrated agro and food processing and export hub.
The project is expected to create a farm-to-market value chain connecting agricultural production with processing and export markets.
Together, the data centre, renewable energy and agro-processing proposals demonstrate the diversity of investment being pursued through the Singapore engagement.
Why the Investment Matters
The ₹43,600 crore commitment package could support infrastructure development across multiple sectors.
The AI data centre alone represents one of the largest proposed digital infrastructure investments associated with the state.
Large data centre projects can create demand for construction, power, telecommunications, engineering, cooling and other supporting infrastructure.
Meanwhile, solar generation and battery storage could contribute to the electricity ecosystem required for energy-intensive digital facilities.
The agro-processing project could strengthen physical supply-chain infrastructure for agricultural products.
Chhattisgarh’s Emerging Infrastructure Opportunity
Chhattisgarh has traditionally been associated with mining, minerals and heavy industry.
The Singapore investment commitments indicate an effort to broaden the state’s economic base toward digital infrastructure, renewable energy and value-added manufacturing and processing.
If the proposed projects progress from commitments to execution, they could significantly expand the state’s infrastructure pipeline.
The ₹43,600 crore investment package therefore represents more than a single project. It points to a broader attempt to position Chhattisgarh as an emerging destination for technology, energy and industrial infrastructure.
