Gurugram: Gurugram’s real estate market continued to show strong momentum during the first half of 2026, with the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) approving 51 real estate projects worth nearly ₹34,000 crore between January and June.
According to data released by the regulator, the approved developments include 16,727 units, comprising 15,403 residential units, 1,084 commercial units and 240 industrial units. The approvals highlight sustained developer confidence and reinforce Gurugram’s position as one of India’s leading premium and luxury real estate destinations.
One of the key highlights of the report is that 11 major projects account for nearly ₹25,000 crore of the total approved investment. This reflects the growing scale of luxury residential developments being launched in the city as developers continue to focus on high-value projects.
Industry experts believe Gurugram remains one of the country’s most attractive property markets due to strong demand from both homebuyers and institutional investors. Improving infrastructure, expanding business districts and the presence of global companies continue to support demand for premium housing across the city.
HRERA said the market’s resilience has also been supported by stronger regulatory oversight and faster project approvals. The authority has introduced several reforms to improve transparency, accountability and consumer confidence in the real estate sector.
These measures include stricter scrutiny of project documents during registration, mandatory site inspections before approvals, compulsory quarterly progress reports from developers and public notices seeking stakeholder feedback before project registration. The regulator believes these steps have strengthened compliance while making the approval process more transparent for buyers and developers alike.
Another major improvement has been the reduction in pending consumer complaints. HRERA said it has streamlined its dispute resolution process, allowing faster disposal of cases and quicker relief for homebuyers.
The latest figures also build on a strong performance in 2025, when HRERA approved 131 projects with a combined investment of around ₹87,000 crore, making Gurugram one of India’s most active real estate markets.
Residential projects accounted for more than 92% of all approved units during the first six months of 2026, underlining the continued demand for upper-mid and luxury housing. Developers are increasingly targeting buyers looking for larger homes, premium amenities and well-connected locations.
Real estate experts believe infrastructure improvements, corporate expansion and rising demand from high-net-worth individuals will continue to support the city’s long-term growth. Better regulatory practices and greater transparency are also expected to strengthen buyer confidence and encourage further investments.
With significant capital continuing to flow into premium developments, Gurugram is expected to remain one of the country’s leading luxury housing markets as India’s residential real estate sector enters its next phase of growth.
