The rapid growth of artificial intelligence is reshaping digital infrastructure requirements, with demand rising for data centres that can deliver greater computing power while remaining energy efficient. Against this backdrop, Schneider Electric and Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) have announced a strategic partnership to develop next generation AI data centre architectures and integrated energy systems.
The collaboration combines Foxconn’s capabilities in AI computing platforms, rack integration and global manufacturing with Schneider Electric’s expertise in power distribution, cooling technologies and energy management. The companies aim to accelerate the deployment of AI-ready infrastructure that is scalable, efficient and designed to meet the evolving needs of enterprises and hyperscale operators.
At the centre of the partnership is the co-development of AI data centre reference architectures that integrate compute, power, cooling and energy management into a unified framework. By creating standardised infrastructure designs, Schneider Electric and Foxconn expect to reduce deployment complexity, improve operational efficiency and support faster rollouts of AI facilities across global markets.
The two companies will also collaborate on advanced technologies such as closed loop energy optimisation, modular power and cooling solutions, and standardised engineering frameworks. These innovations are intended to deliver repeatable, high performance designs for AI factories and next generation data centres while enhancing energy efficiency and reducing operational costs.
Young Liu, Chairman of Foxconn, said the partnership brings together Foxconn’s strengths in AI systems and manufacturing with Schneider Electric’s leadership in energy technologies, enabling customers to scale AI infrastructure faster and more sustainably.
Olivier Blum, Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric, said the future of artificial intelligence depends on intelligent energy systems that seamlessly connect power, cooling and digital technologies. He added that integrated infrastructure will play a vital role in building efficient and sustainable AI data centres capable of supporting increasingly demanding workloads.
