The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced plans to develop a new industrial corridor connecting Noida International Airport with the Tappal-Bajna region, marking another major step in Uttar Pradesh’s ambition to build one of India’s largest integrated manufacturing and logistics ecosystems. The proposed corridor is expected to strengthen industrial connectivity, attract fresh investments and create thousands of employment opportunities across western Uttar Pradesh.
According to officials, the corridor will be developed along the rapidly expanding influence zone of Noida International Airport. The project is designed to support manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, electronics, automotive industries and export-oriented businesses looking to establish operations close to the upcoming aviation hub. The strategic location is expected to reduce transportation costs while improving access to domestic and international markets.
The new corridor forms part of YEIDA’s broader vision of transforming the airport region into a multi-sector economic hub. With industrial plots, logistics parks, commercial developments and residential projects already under development, the authority is now focusing on creating seamless industrial clusters that can accommodate future demand from both Indian and global companies.
Infrastructure development will play a central role in the project. Authorities are planning modern road networks, utility infrastructure and better connectivity between industrial zones and the airport. The corridor is also expected to integrate with existing expressways and future transport projects, enabling efficient movement of goods across northern India. Such connectivity could significantly improve supply chain efficiency for manufacturers and exporters operating in the region.
Industry experts believe the corridor will further strengthen the investment appeal of the Noida airport region, which has already witnessed strong interest from companies involved in manufacturing, logistics, electronics and data centres. As airport-led economic zones continue to emerge globally, integrated industrial corridors are becoming critical in attracting long-term private investment and supporting regional economic growth.
The project also aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s wider industrial development strategy, which focuses on expanding manufacturing capacity, improving infrastructure and creating employment. The state government has been actively promoting industrial investment through dedicated policies and large-scale infrastructure projects, positioning the region as a preferred destination for domestic and international businesses.
Once operational, the industrial corridor is expected to accelerate commercial activity around Noida International Airport while encouraging the development of ancillary industries, logistics providers and support services. Small and medium enterprises could also benefit from improved access to industrial infrastructure and transport facilities, creating a wider economic impact across the region.
The announcement comes at a time when India’s industrial infrastructure is expanding rapidly to support growing manufacturing ambitions and rising export demand. Projects such as the YEIDA industrial corridor demonstrate how integrated planning around transport infrastructure can create long-term economic value beyond airports themselves.
With land development plans progressing and infrastructure investment gathering pace, the Noida International Airport region continues to evolve into one of the country’s most significant industrial and logistics destinations. The proposed corridor between the airport and Tappal-Bajna is expected to play an important role in shaping the next phase of growth for western Uttar Pradesh while strengthening India’s industrial competitiveness in the years ahead.
